It will be necessary to carry both keys during this period. The changes will begin in about two weeks.

Special sticks for marking type of plant, color, etc., will be available after church outside the May Room. Garden Mart will be on Friday and Saturday, May 2 & 3.

GREETERS: Parish Growth has acquired coffee cups to give to newcomers. A small number from storage will always be available in the sacristy. Be sure the cups have the appropriate literature included. Carry one with you at announcement time to show. Please include the fact that a cup will be given to newcomers who meet you after the service. This has been effective in encouraging first-time visitors to make themselves known. Coffee cups are available for purchase by parishioners. Sales will help in recovering the cost. See Karl.
NEW GREETERS NEEDED: Please contact the office for scheduling or see Karl Lietzenmayer.

JUST A REMINDER: The ECW (Episcopal Church Women) at Trinity participate in the Caring Neighbor Program of Remke Markets. You must have a Preferred Customer number to participate. Whenever you shop at Remke's and use your card, they will quarterly give the ECW 2% of what you spend. However, you must fill out a form (to be found on the table in the hall) with your Preferred Customer number to participate. You can give your form to me or take to Remke's yourself.
Even if you only shop at Remke's occasionally, it all helps. Last year the ECW received approximately $300.00 from this program.

PARISH INFORMATION BOOK: The Parish Information Book is now available. You will find it on the pew in the Narthex or on the table outside the May Room.
THE MARY FUND is a nurturing outreach ministry of Trinity's ECW. Its purposes include furnishing food to bereaved families of the parish and providing limited funds for parishioners with special needs.
The Mary Fund is dependent upon your generous contributions, which we welcome as personal gifts, memorials, thanksgivings, and commemorations such as the birth of a child, birthday, or an anniversary. Please remember the Mary Fund. You may be sure that your gift will make a difference.

CHIMES BY E-MAIL: If you would like to receive The Chimes by e-mail, please e-mail your address to: info@trinitychurchcovky.com.
PARISH GROWTH COMMITTEE REPORT: For several months, beginning with the chairmanship of Pam Allen, the committee has brainstormed ways to "market" Trinity more effectively. The Parish Informational Booklet, which describes every parish function, has been entered in to the parish computer and revised. Copies will be available very soon for each parishioner and the booklet will be revised each March.
A 3-page fold out in color publication in pamphlet form intended for prospective members and guests is being designed. A Trinity coffee cup and refrigerator magnet are close to completion to be given to guests and new members. This whole package B pamphlet-mug-and magnet B will be presented to prospective and new parish members. An opportunity will be given to all parishioners to obtain a mug or magnet at a moderate price.
A parish logo is also being designed which is intended for use on all official documents, letters, etc.

VESTRY COMMUNICATION: At its retreat last year the vestry decided to make improving communication at Trinity a priority. As a first step, two new features will be appearing in the Chimes beginning in March.
The first, "Notes From the Vestry", is a summary of items discussed at the monthly vestry meeting prepared by Esther Parton, the vestry clerk. The official "Minutes" provide more complete details of the meeting and are posted on the bulletin board in the hallway at Trinity. (Monthly financial reports are also on the bulletin board.)
The second feature is a monthly report from one of the vestry commissions. These reports will describe the work of the commission, its plans for the upcoming year, how those plans support the Trinity Vision Statement, and who is currently on the commission.
We hope these features will help keep everyone informed on the issues being discussed and the work being planned by the vestry and the commissions. We also hope they will encourage broader participation by parishioners who are welcome to join the commissions.
Additional efforts to improve communications will follow.
ALTAR FLOWERS: If you are interested in providing the altar flowers, there are several dates available. Please sign the sheet in the gray binder for the date that you would like. Write in if it is a memorial, thanksgiving, etc. Also, please check the column if you would like to do this annually of if it is just for this year.
PARKING: If you park in either lot during the week please make sure you display on your car a Trinity parking tag (available at the office). Church parking is along the wall in the north lot and all of the corner lot except 6 spaces rented to Bilz. We are warning illegal parkers that we will tow. On Sundays, we also have 150 spaces in the IRS garage. Call the office to be sure your name is on the list.
LOOKING TO VOLUNTEER? Check out www.volunteer-nky.org. The website, a joint project of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and Thomas More College, is designed to connect volunteers to organizations serving the hungry, ill housed, abused, incarcerated, elderly and women with unplanned pregnancies in Kenton, Boone and Campbell Counties.
PRAYER AND SHARE: A praise, prayer, and Bible study group meets every Monday evening at 7:00 pm in the EYC room under the offices. Most meetings last for an hour and a half. Every member of Trinity is welcome. If you would like to attend please meet at the Fourth Street door at 7:00 pm. For further information call Cliff Daly or Richard Stevenson.
SUNDAY HOST: If you would like to be a Sunday Host, making the coffee and cleaning up, please sign the sheet on the table in the hall.
IF YOU GO TO THE HOSPITAL, please call Joe or the office as the hospitals do not notify us.
MASTER PARISH CALENDAR: If you are planning a Trinity activity, please make sure you call the office (431-1786) and check the master calendar. Also, as you are planning for the coming year, please inform the office so that your activity will be included on the master calendar to prevent conflicts.
REMINDER: The deadline for items for The Chimes is at Noon on Friday. It is very helpful if you remember this deadline and have your articles in by then. Thank you!
